Horses death brings protest

From out of the woodwork they have come. People who obviously don’t have a real job and have nothing else better to do. In the aftermath of any tragedy the hangers on and leaches appear to stir hysteria and generally make fools of themselves. Most not even taking the time to honestly study the tragedy or what may have caused it. Instead relying on group think and mob mentality. The sad part is that these people are given quarter in the press instead of being marginalized for the sorry lots they tend to be.

To be honest I don’t know all that much about the subject of horse racing or what is best for the horses in this case. But I have a strong suspicion neither do these people who wish to belittle and deride the industry. Their apparent aim seems to be that of getting in front of a camera or have a journalist transcribe their story. Hum, sounds a lot like Al Qaeda to me…

Yes it’s my personal opinion that most of these groups are no more than glorified terrorist’s. Having had personal run ins with Greenpeace while I was in the Navy. I can say first hand that most of these “activist’s” are doing what they do only to massage their own ego’s and to generally cause disruption. I have no use for them or their “causes”.

There are plenty of miseries in this world that need to be addressed with vigor and firmness. But all issues also need to have a sane, informed and measured approach to be redressed. Not bluster and bull horning. Nothing productive as ever been accomplished by yelling louder than the next guy. We all, including myself, need to take a deep breath from time to time and think about what it is we do and say.

I think I’ll take that breath now…I must be off.
