I came outside this morning to have a cup of coffee and check my e-mail. The weather is simply perfect. Low humidity and a comfortable temperature with just a hint of a breeze. A few minutes ago a Cardinal was in a duel with a Robin. Apparently one or the other was invading the others turf. A few neighborhood dogs are barking off in the distance. Now that the bird fight is over the rest of the aviaries are blissfully chirping away. Summer in Kentucky can be a wonderful thing. This current weather is a blessed relief from the last week or so. It had been hotter than blazes with humidity to match. So, here I sit outside enjoying a fine morning.
I’ve given some thought over the last day or so to culling down some of my inter-net activity. Like, for instances, doing away with my Twitter account. Seems I get more b.s. than useful or even fun info. And I really don’t care that much what people there are up to. Given that I can just as easily post here from my iPhone, I figured why try and keep up with more than one outlet. Most users of Twitter seem to want to sell something anyway. It was fun at first but has grown tiresome.
Been starting to feel giddy about heading up to Maine in a week or so. Looking forward to seeing our son, daughter-in-law and new granddaughter. And I’m also looking forward to seeing the ocean again. It’s been almost 2 years since we were last up there. And can still recall our last visit with fondness. Here’s hoping this trip will add even more good times and memories. Of course this time around I’ll be able to chronicle some of the trip here and post some pictures as well.
I haven’t much else to add at this point, so I think I’ll sign off and enjoy some more of this great weather. As always…I must be off.
