Although I have been busy the last few days…the reason nothing new has appeared is also because the last posting needed time to air out. It left a bit of a stale smell on these pages even though the thoughts expressed were sincere they came completely out of left field. I didn’t want that to happen twice in a row so the blog has been left unchecked as a result.
In that time a home computer had to be reformatted, a flapper valve has been installed on our primary toilet and I have been trying my hand at playing supervisor at work. So far I’m 3 for 3, meaning that all task’s have been performed to the best of my ability. The supervisor part has been a pleasant surprise to this point, here’s hoping it remains so. I will have a couple more weeks of it before our regular super gets back from school. It’s odd being in charge of the same guys you have worked with and will work with again. A delicate balancing act of getting the job done without alienating the same people who will once again be your co-workers in a week or two. But whoever has this particular job is fortunate in that the people who work this shift do get the job done without any prodding, coddling or hand holding. Which is the main reason I chose to take this gig in the first place.
All else is idling along pretty well, except for the yard, which slaps me across the face every time I look at it. The dry weather has allowed for a little less diligence on the mowing front but those patches that continue to grow are beginning to scream…mow me now! Which brings me to something else that needs doing…getting a new battery for the mower.
Gotta check the list again…I must be off.
