Culling is a term used mostly in the animal world to describe the process of weeding out the weak or injured. Today I’m using it in reference to what I’ve been doing over the last few weeks. Ridding my on-line life of unused or useless tools and apps. Since getting the Mac, computing has become much simpler…the way it should be. No need for that many third party trinkets once used to perform certain functions. Got shed of Twitter-which had become a vehicle for spam, third party browsers-trying to be everything to everyone-not succeeding at either and too many other eye candy apps that were not up to snuff. As I get older, the patience quotient I once had for such gadgetry, has ebbed considerably. Now I just want things that work well and are simple to use. And if I must have multiple items, having them work well together. Such as the MacBook and iPhone. Yes, there is a premium paid to use Apple products, but I see my Windows friends having to buy many third party apps to do the same things the Mac does by default. No value in that…
The point is that life should be as simple as possible. Having to learn to use, hack to make work or toting three gadgets instead of one-is not simplicity. The lighter the load the easier to make our journey. I for one will always opt for a light load. Physically and mentally…
As always…I must be off.

I’m glad to hear you like the MAC. One day I may get brave enough and take the plunge myself.
I know I love my iPod. When it die, I’m sure it will turn into an iPhone.
BTW…. you are off.
