The heat, family and flying bark

Monday was a special day…our two granddaughters saw each other for the first time. Ashtyn five and Emma Mae two months of age. Of course for them it may not be remembered. For us old folk it was a momentous event. Another threshold if you will…

The heat here is typical for this time of year. HOT! The kind that makes your bones sweat. You find you have sweat glands in places not before known. ‘Nough said on that…

A friend of mine recently crossed a threshold of his own. Having driven for some forty years he had been fortunate not to have had a vehicular accident. Until last week… To add insult to injury he wrinkled the side of his newest truck. The details are sketchy but apparently some bark was flying after the wrinkle appeared. Depth perception is one of the things to go as one crosses the age threshold. To bad for the doors on the Toyota. All will be as new when the Toy gets back from it’s cosmetic recovery. Except the depth perception.

As always…I must be off.
