The heat is finally gone…

It’s my favorite time of year, the fall. Although the calender hasn’t signafied it’s arival yet, the temps and clear days say something different. Cool nights followed by warm clear days. The humidity has retreated toward the south and the dry northern air has replaced it. Even an old man feels young in this environment.

After a cold gray winter I always welcome spring, but after a hot summer I relish the fall. The color and lack of bugs are my two favorite indicators of fall.

I am sad to report that there has been little to write about other than the weather. Most of the hijinx that occur at work do not translate well or are a little too blue to relate. Given that I would like to keep these pages clean and not bore you anymore than you already are, I will continue to post weather reports.

The economy is too depressing and the creative bone in my head is on vacation. So hang in there at least until we go camping again. I’m sure the material will get a much needed shot in the arm then.

As always…I must be off.
