Snow day…
This morning I got home and like every morning, let the dogs outside.
Usually by that time of morning our house bird has flown its coop but this morning it was still roosting snugly in the end of the rolled up shade that it has made its home.
The weather has finally become more like January than March. Blustery and cold, a dry snow flying around creating white out conditions occasionally.
Guess the house bird decided the heck with this weather I’m taking a snow day.
We didn’t get a lot of snow but what did fall stuck on everything, including the roads which made driving…interesting. Which in turn had the local schools closed.
You know it’s bad when wild birds choose to stay roosted rather than get out in this weather.
I’m sure the ground worms aren’t coming to the surface either so the pickin’s would be slim for the bird as well.
In fact, the rabbits, squirrels and other critters were no where to be seen this morning. The dogs finished their business in record time as well not wanting to be exposed to the weather any longer than necessary.
I’ll end today’s post here not wanting to expose you to even more drivel.
As always…I must be off.
